WHAT IS A TATTOO PASS?

A tattoo pass is a direct exchange between you and the artist. By purchasing a tattoo pass, you provide financial support to the artist and receive permission to use their artwork for a tattoo. Essentially, buying a tattoo pass is obtaining consent.

WHAT DO I RECEIVE?

You receive permission and non-exclusive rights to a single piece of artwork for a one-time use as a permanent tattoo on your body. You will receive by email the full resolution tattoo piece and a stencil. You won’t receive a physical item, or consultations. You also do not have the rights to modify or combine artworks. For any modifications, you must contact the artist for a custom design.

For the long term, you will gain the satisfaction of supporting a system that ensures artists are fairly compensated for their work.

WHY DO YOU NEED A TATTOO PASS?

Legally: Art is protected under copyright laws, and using it without permission is considered theft. A tattoo pass grants you and your tattoo artist the legal right to reproduce the artwork as a tattoo.

Morally: Misusing or stealing an artist's work is deeply disrespectful. As an artist, the lack of respect and safety hurts more than the lack of financial compensation. Every moment that stolen art exists as a tattoo, it continues to cause harm.

WILL THERE BE REPEATED TATTOOS?

Yes. The tattoo pass is non-exclusive, meaning others may also choose to use the same design for their tattoos.

WHICH ARTWORKS CAN I USE THIS PASS FOR?

You can purchase a tattoo pass for any pre-existing artwork.
